Microsoft unveiled the Surface Laptop 3 in New York City on Wednesday.
Chief Product Officer Panos Panay was clearly delighted as he debuted the new product.

The laptop will now come in two screen sizes: 13 inches and 15 inches. The oft-praised keyboard includes a 1.3mm travel distance between keys (super close, in other words) and a 20 percent larger precision touchpad. Plus, Microsoft added a USB-C port.

And if you like to look fancy, they'll come in a new sandstone finish.
Inside, the 13-inch laptop has a 10th Gen Intel Core processor, but the 15-inch boasts the AMD Ryzen processor, reportedly offering "the fastest processor for any laptop in its class today," according to Panay. And the laptop can be charged 80 percent in an hour, keeping you powered on the go.
And, perhaps most notably, it has an easily removable top that will enable easier repairs.

Preorders open Wednesday for an Oct. 22 delivery; the 13-inch laptop will cost $999 while the 15-inch will cost $1,199.
