15 Places to Pay Homage to the King of Rock and Roll

There’s just something about the King. You may know him as a singer or movie star, a GI or a 20th-century-icon, young and lithe or older and, well, a little less lithe. But you definitely know him. There are places all over the world that pay homage to Elvis Presley, the time in which he lived, and the impact he had on popular culture.

Put on your blue suede shoes or your sequined jumpsuit to join us for a journey from the house where he grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the the Elvis Presley Memorial Garden in Parkville, Australia, with stops, of course, at Graceland and the Heartbreak Hotel. Lovers of abandoned places should check out the Coco Palms Resort in Kauaʻi for a glimpse into the 1960s and some of the places used in the filming of Blue Hawaii
